Jul 16 to Jul 19 Fairbanks hosts the World Eskimo Indian Olympics, testing the strength and endurance of athletes. These games were established as way to remember the skills and traits needed to survive living in the extreme north. Competitions include the seal hop, ear pull, four man carry and others.
