Tanana River runs to the north of the Wrangell Mountains and the Alaska Range. The 650-mile-long river is the largest tributary of the Yukon River.
Chena River
Stretching from the hills east of Fairbanks and emptying into the Tanana River near Fairbanks, Chena River is a popular spot for boating and fishing. During the winter months, the river is traveled by dog sleds and snowmobiles.
